The Matter of Earth

“The Matter of Earth. A New Generation of Polish Collectible Design” opens in Paris.

Presented during Paris Design Week at the Polish Institute, the exhibition brings together artists and designers representing a new generation of Polish collectible design - including Jan Ankiersztajn (in collaboration with Anna Jechorek) and Aleksandra Zawistowska

Curated by Eleonora Bojanowska and Bartosz Brylewski, the exhibition explores artists’ relationship with earth - understood as material, landscape, memory and place of origin. Natural materials, craft processes and experimentation become starting points for a broader reflection on contemporary Polish design practice.

“The Matter of Earth” marks the French debut of Visteria Foundation and another step in the international presentation of contemporary Polish craft and collectible design.
